Eric Swalwell’s campaign knocked nearly $60,000 off travel in six weeks, including hotels in Miami and Paris

California Democratic Representative by Eric Swalwell The campaign slashed nearly $60,000 in travel costs in just six weeks, including to a Miami Beach hotspot and hotel in Paris, France, campaign fundraising records show.

The Swawell campaign choice posh hotels offer nightly prices between $400 and $3,700, and the committee has also handed out large sums on plane tickets.

According United States Census Bureau According to the data, the $57,094 in travel expenses the campaign tallied between April 1 and May 18 was just $10,000 less than the median U.S. household wage in 2020.

Swalwell’s campaign, which consists of two paid employeeslost thousands of dollars to luxury hotels in prime vacation spots, including $4,708 to Loews Miami Beachwhere rooms cost guests anywhere from $400 for the city view to $3,700 for the presidential suite, its website says.

The campaign also distributed $1,752 to the five-star La Maison Champs-Elysees hotel in Paris, France, where overnight rooms cost between $1,000 and $1,200 per night.

Outside of swanky hotels that are far from his neighborhood, the highest spending came from United Airlines, where Swalwell’s campaign dropped $13,312 on flights. His committee also spent $7,815 on American Airlines flights and nearly $1,300 on Alaska Airlines tickets.

The Cadillac congressman also appeared to continue his luxury limo kick, spending nearly $6,000 on such services, according to the revelations. Swalwell’s campaign also spent $1,452 on Lyft rides and $1,055 on Uber rides.

Swalwell’s committee, meanwhile, spent more on travel in six weeks than it did on “communications advice” and “fundraising services” combined, according to the filings.

The new spending follows a lavish spending pattern by the California Democrat. Swalwell’s campaign dropped tens of thousands of dollars on liquor and limo services last year, and he also spent more than $20,000 on the luxury hotel where his wife worked.

The tens of thousands of campaign dollars include limo services, luxury hotels, high-end restaurants and liquor delivery services in the second quarter, according to FEC records reviewed by Fox News.

More than $20,000 of campaign funds went to luxury hotels, including the Ritz Carlton, Half Moon Bay, where Swalwell’s wife was sales manager until 2019, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Swalwell’s campaign did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
