Graduate Undergraduate Awards Celebrate Excellence in Class of 2022 Babson Thought & Action
Senior graduates Tyson Corner ’22, Victoria Z. Shen ’22 and Abigail vanLuling ’22 received multiple awards at the undergraduate awards ceremony on Friday.
Corner has won three awards: the prestigious Roger W. Babson Award for Excellence in Scholarship, Extracurricular Activities, and Leadership, as well as the Carroll W. Ford Fellowship Award as Class Major and the Wallace P. Mors Finance Prize.
Shen has won the Clinton A. Petersen Accounting Award, the Environmental Sustainability Award, and a Student Contribution Award. Additionally, vanLuling won the Technology, Operations Management Award and a Student Contribution Award.

Creative Arts Awards
Presented to a senior who has demonstrated significant contributions to the arts on campus.
Global Student Leadership Award
Presented to a senior graduate who fostered an atmosphere of understanding and respect among student groups on campus in a true example of a global student leader.
Arts and Humanities Awards
Presented to a senior who excelled in arts and humanities classes. The student must have taken four courses to be eligible.
Bertrand R. Canfield Marketing Award
Presented to an excellent senior marketing student. The student must have completed a minimum of four courses to be eligible.
Carolyn Hotchkiss and Richard P. Mandel Law Prize
Presented to the senior who has completed at least three law electives and has demonstrated academic excellence in law.
Clinton A. Petersen Accounting Award
Presented to a senior with six or more accounting courses who possesses the highest degree of knowledge in all phases of accounting.
Earl K. Bowen Prize for Quantitative Methods
Presented to a senior with the highest GPA in their QTM courses.
Excellence in Economics Award
Presented to a senior who has taken 4 or more economics courses and has demonstrated exceptional scholarship, initiative and ingenuity in the field of economics.

Environmental Sustainability Award
Presented to a senior who has excelled in courses in the environmental sustainability concentration.
History and Society Prize
Presented to a senior who excelled in history and society classes. The student must have taken four courses to be eligible.
Information Systems Awards
Presented to a senior with the highest GPA in four or more of their MIS courses.
Marketing Scholars Awards
Presented to an excellent senior marketing student. This award recognizes outstanding performance and achievement in the discipline of marketing.
Newton Prize for Natural Science and Technology
Presented to a senior who has the highest GPA in the science elective.
Best Student Award in Entrepreneurial Studies
Presented to a senior on the basis of overall achievements in academic, entrepreneurial and extracurricular activities that best exemplify a creative and enterprising spirit and high personal standards of integrity.
Rudolph A. Johnson Management Award
Presented to a senior graduate who will have taken at least seven courses in management and achieved the highest cumulative average in at least six courses in this discipline.
Technology, Operations Management Award
Presented to a senior who has one of the highest GPAs in their Operations and Information Management (OIM) courses (3 or more). This award is based on the number of IOM courses taken, IOM GPA, and overall IOM faculty evaluations.
The Wall Street Journal Financial Award
Presented to a senior who will have taken at least four or more finance courses and who has completed the most distinguished academic record in the field of finance.
Wallace P. Mors Finance Award
Presented to a senior executive for outstanding performance in finance and division activities.
Presented to the senior student-athlete with the highest GPA in the class.
Michael J. Conlon Spirit Award
Presented to a senior graduate who best demonstrates some of the qualities embodied by Michael: leadership, integrity, loyalty, academic excellence and, most importantly, a willingness to find time to care for and support others.
George Macy Wheeler Award
Presented to a senior graduate who best exemplifies the qualities of naturalness, friendliness, sincerity, perseverance and loyalty.
Carroll W. Ford Scholarship (Major)
Presented to the senior graduate who has the highest GPA in the class.
Roger W. Babson Award
This award is given to the senior graduate who has excelled in the areas of scholarship, extracurricular activities and leadership.
