Covenant Health Foundation Launches Second Annual Champions for Children Campaign
LUBBOCK, TX (COMMUNICATED) – The Covenant Health Foundation will launch a two-week community-wide fundraising campaign, Champions for Children, supporting Covenant Children’s and its excellent care for children on April 15.
As the only licensed children’s hospital in West Texas and one of only 8 in Texas, countless children and families have been touched by the life-saving care received at Covenant Children’s.
With over 70 participating locations, this campaign will be an opportunity for communities across the Southern Plains to support this crucial ongoing work. Guests inside participating businesses can donate $1 (or more!) at checkout to support Covenant Children’s. If applicable, the guest can also write their name on a kite to display in the business. All proceeds raised during the two-week campaign will support children in care at Covenant Children’s.
Dr Amy Thompson, CEO of Covenant Children, said: “The work we do every day – caring for children with cancer, vulnerable NICU patients, those with behavioral health issues – is a blessing to all of us who call Covenant Children home. Thompson said: “The dedicated caregivers at Covenant Children’s are here to care only for the children – working in a hospital built on love and faith.”
Some participating companies include:
- Picoso’s Mexican cuisine
- Villa tacos
- Walk-On Sports Bistreaux
- by Stella
- A guy from Italy
