Springfield First Community Bank added Bryan jones as head of commercial banking and Andrea Gill as a marketing coordinator and event planner. With 13 years of banking experience, Jones manages commercial real estate and corporate loans. Gill, who is in a newly created position, most recently served as the Marketing Coordinator at Tomo Drug Testing. She is responsible for the bank’s branding, website, social media campaigns, public relations and event coordination.
Linda wellborn, Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Accreditation Activities at Evangel University, was honored as a Mighty Mentor at the 2021 Higher Education Commission National Conference. She was one of the accreditation peer reviewers who served as team leaders for the HLC and helped other members become peer reviewers. Wellborn, an Evangel faculty member since 1995, has been a peer reviewer and consultant for the higher education accreditation organization since 2001.
Named evangel Greg johns Vice President for Student Development to succeed retired Sheri Phillips. Johns had been Director of Evangelical Spiritual Life and Campus Pastor since 2014 and previously Regional Director of the South Africa region for the Assemblies of God World Missions. Johns holds a PhD in Higher Education from Nova Southeastern University, an MA in Christian Education from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, and a BA in Bible from Central Bible College.
Ozark school board hired Kim fitzpatrick as the school district’s general manager of student services starting in the fall. She was Principal of Ozark South Elementary School for 14 years and began her teaching career in 1989. With a PhD in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University, Fitzpatrick succeeds Gerald Chambers, who becomes Executive Director of secondary education.
College of the Ozarks was named to The Princeton Review’s Best Value Colleges for 2021. The 200 schools that made the list, out of approximately 650 respondents, were selected based on more than 40 data points, including academic offerings, debt student, work placement services and alumni salary levels. .
Family nurse practitioner Stéphane counts joined the medical staff at Citizens Memorial Hospital and Ash Grove Family Medical Center. She treats acute illnesses and injuries, as well as women’s health issues. Counts holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Cox College and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Citizens Memorial Hospital added vascular surgeon CoxHealth Dr Grant Scott as a visiting specialist. In his office in Bolivar, he diagnoses and treats patients for vascular diseases. With an MD from the University of Missouri, Scott completed a general surgery residency at Phoenix Integrated Surgical Residency in Arizona and a vascular surgery fellowship at the Charleston Area Medical Center in West Virginia.
